Sanction Request - Outdoor Karate Training Program
An outdoor karate training program is defined as a multi-week (up to a maximum of 9 consecutive weeks) event where a Karate BC club may train their Karate BC members at an outdoor location. Instruction is understood to be in the same format as indoor training.
All permissions to use any outdoor spaces is the responsibility of the applicant or requesting club, i.e. city permits, etc.

Information
Sanction Request - Tournaments
An event is defined to be a tournament when:
i) awards/medals are given to winning competitors;
ii) admission fees and/or entry fees are charged.
A tournament series is defined as:
i) a set of tournaments on unique dates that fall under a series title. For example, "The ABC Karate Club Tournament Series - March 5, April 5, May 5"
ii) must have the same contact
Karate BC sanction requires that all non-contact karate divisions in an event proceed according to WKF rules (www.wkf.net/structure-statutes-rules) in principle and where applicable.
Sanctioning Fee: $50 for a single event - $25 for each additional event within a series up to a maximum of $300. You also have the option to pay the maximum of $300 up front if you think you will have a significant number of events in your series.
Fee will be due upon approval of sanctioning request.
*Note: In order to receive sanctioning, tournaments must be scheduled a minimum of 12 days prior to a Karate BC tournament. Please refer to the Karate BC calendar to confirm if there is a potential conflict with your event date: www.karatebc.org/kbc-calendar-grid-view
Sanction Request - Other
A karate program is defined as a multi-week event (up to a maximum of 9 consecutive weeks) that may contain a mix of Karate BC members and non-members.
Sanctioning Fee: $25 for a single event - $12.50 for each additional event within a program series up to a maximum of $100. You also have the option to pay the maximum of $100 up front if you think you will have a significant number of events in your series.
Sanction Request - Camps
A karate camp is defined as a multi-day, short duration event (a weekend, or up to 7 consecutive days) that may contain a mix of Karate BC members and non-members.
Sanctioning Fee: $25 for a single camp - $12.50 for each additional camp within a series up to a maximum of $100. You also have the option to pay the maximum of $100 up front if you think you will have a significant number of camps in your series.
